Bart Schmolke

Bart was born and raised in Alexandria, LA and graduated from Bolton High School. He attended LSU in Baton Rouge, where he earned a BS degree in Finance. He attended LSU graduate school, where he received his MBA in Finance with a 3.8 grade point average. Also, Bart was an SAE (fraternity) at LSU.

Upon graduating from graduate school, Bart went to work for Amoco Production Company (APC) in Lake Charles, LA. He spent 2 1/2 years at APC, until an opportunity became available in the Finance field.  Bart moved back to Alexandria in September of 1983 to work for A. G. Edwards & Sons (AGE) and was trained in the field of professional investment management. Bart spent 26 years at AGE, where he was a member of the President’s Council for 17 years (The President’s Council was AGE’s best advisors designation). Bart left AGE in 2010, which was soon after was bought by Wachovia, and he moved to FSC Securities (FSC), which is an Independent Broker-Dealer.

In the 32 years Bart has been in the investment business, he has seen enormous changes in the investment industry and related markets. His experience has helped hundreds of families over the years. Bart brought his son Brian into his practice in 2013, and sees him as a major asset to the firm for his technological skills, distinctive perspective on investing and succession planning for their clients.

For the past 12 years Bart has also been a co-host of Tiger Talk, a weekly LSU sports related call-in radio show on KZMZ 96.9 FM in Alexandria, also at www.969rocks.com. The show can be heard Mondays from 4:00 PM until 6:00PM. Also, Bart is the president of the Central Louisiana LSU TAF Association and is active with the Central Louisiana LSU Alumni Association.

Bart married his wife, Dee Dee, in 1981. They have two grown children and two grandchildren. Bart is active in his church, Calvary Baptist Church, and many charities. He likes to fish, camp, go to LSU sporting events and be around his family and friends.
